Teibol Dans

A very happy song, based on the traditional Argentinian rhythm “chamarrita”, I love the switch between binary and ternary grooves that this style has, so I decided to write a piece for marimba solo.

When I presented it to my colleagues and friends of TriOrganico they got really excited about the possibility of playing it with our trio formation (with cajon and or bombo legüero) as accompaniment and it feel just right.

It works both as a solo piece or with more musicians joining, if you play it as a solo the only thing you need to do is skip measure 64 and play directly measure 65 after 63.
